Creatives with Codi Lynn is a podcast that was started to help encourage & inspire women in both their personal and business life.
Over the past few months I have come to know Haley of Beluga Baby and am so pleased today to share a bit of her story and the benefits that she has had from her baby wrap products. Haley is a hardworking momma and produces the best quality products for her consumers. She has opened up to me and it is a pleasure to share with you today more about Beluga Baby, Haley, and some benefits of baby wearing.
“I have an obsession with baby wearing. And not just because I’m the owner and founder of Beluga Baby , but because it’s changed my life, and I’ve watched it change the lives of other parents.
For starters, there are so many benefits of wearing your newborn, straight from womb to wrap. Ok, we’ll let you have a quick nap first, but then on with the wrap! The benefits of wearing your newborn skin-to-skin are so many. It helps your baby regulate their blood sugar levels and temperature, it promotes bonding between mom (or dad) and baby, it stimulates mama’s milk, it reduces instances and severity of postpartum depression, it helps with reflux and colic and reduces crying in both length and quantity. It’s magical
And that’s just in the first few weeks.
I started this company after making myself a wrap out of the beautiful bamboo fabric that Beluga Baby is now known for. I knew I wanted to baby wear, but couldn’t find the perfect wrap. Some were too stretchy, some not stretchy enough. Some were too thick, too long, too BIG! So I made my own, and babes, it’s love.
Personally, what sold me on the wrap are those nights. You know the ones. Your baby is fed, changed, burped, you’ve sprinkled unicorn dust on them and twirled their hair to the right just like you know they love. And they still. won’t. stop. crying.
It’s enough to drive even the most patient parent mad.
It was on those nights that I would, at the end of my rope, slip my daughter into the Beluga Wrap. And like magic she calmed down in minutes each and every time. I knew I was on to something that could really improve the newborn days for new parents. To me, getting more joy in those newborn days is such a gift. There’s so much you could focus on. The sleepless nights, the soreness and the crying and crying grating on your nerves.
If I can make just one new mom or dad an easier time with their newborn, I am completely and utterly satisfied.
The Beluga Wrap also lets you get things done. Since it allows you to be hand free while still holding your baby close, you can make yourself toast, brush some mascara on, or even go for a walk (*gasp*). With a newborn, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.”
