Creatives with Codi Lynn is a podcast that was started to help encourage & inspire women in both their personal and business life.
Love at first sight is the only way to really describe how I feel about the style of Olga Prinku. I was first introduced to Olga when she sent me a very kind email a couple months back asking me about my blog and possibly collaborating. I knew that I was going to be very busy close to the holidays and didn’t want to commit to something (like cleaning, styling, decorating my home) all before the big horrah of the holidays. When I asked Olga if she wanted to style her products in her own home to share with me I was beyond impressed with the outcome.
I think that we are a lot alike, Olga and I, we are both graphic designers and very much enjoy interior design (though she just might be a whole lot more talented then me in that area). Just because I enjoy it doesn’t mean that my home looks like this (ha!). A couple years ago Olga tried to draw from her experience working on layouts for a home styling magazine, while she renovated her own home.
Living in Northern England, Olga took a career break just after she had her little boy, this is when she learned how to crochet and knit. Now that her son is starting school, Olga is seeing if she can turn her craft making into a business. With a passion for working with wool and an incredible creative eye Olga has turned her creations into the most gorgeous home decor items for the holidays.
I’m a trained graphic designer and I used to work on layouts for a home styling magazine. I tried to draw some tips from that experience when my husband and I renovated an old house over the last couple of years, in a little village in northern England. I took a career break from graphic design when we had our little boy, and that’s when I learned how to crochet and knit. Now that he’s starting school, I’m seeing if I can turn my craft making into a business. I especially enjoy working with wool – the chunkier the better! I love to fill the house with tactile, bright-coloured goodies.
